Hello and welcome to the NZEIPS website.

We are the New Zealand Early Intervention in Psychosis Society (NZEIPS). Our interest focuses on the wellbeing of young people who have experienced symptoms of psychosis, and the best support available for them and their families.

We are an organisation made up of members from all over New Zealand (NZ), including people with lived experience of psychosis, family members, clinicians and other workers who support young people with experiences of psychosis.

This website provides information about psychosis and Early Intervention (EIP), advice on what to do if you’re worried about someone, where to find help in your area, and useful links to further good sources of information.

You can also join the NZEIPS here and by doing so you will gain access to our members’ area. This contains information and resources designed for people working in the field of Early Intervention in Psychosis. It also provides opportunities to connect with other members in our ‘Community of Practitioners’ and get updates about events such as the two-yearly national EIP training forum.

NZEIPS is free to join and run by an Executive Committee made up of practitioners, family members and people with lived experience of psychosis from all over NZ. We hope you will join us, so we can connect, share and learn with you!

“The New Zealand Early Intervention in Psychosis Society endeavours to promote and develop strategies for early intervention in psychosis throughout Aotearoa New Zealand. This will be achieved by working alongside consumers and consumer groups, researchers and clinicians as we recognise that our vision can only be achieved by working collaboratively.”
